MOTODEV Studio for Android was Motorola’s Eclipse-based IDE distribution designed to simplify Android app development. It bundled the Android SDK with preconfigured tools and Motorola add-ons, offering project wizards and code templates, visual editors for layouts and the manifest, integrated emulator and device management, and streamlined APK packaging and signing. The environment supported robust debugging and logging through DDMS and Logcat, and provided access to Motorola device profiles, documentation, and sample projects—all within a single workspace. Motorola has since retired MOTODEV Studio; developers now typically use Google’s Android Studio for modern Android development.
